Jolla Unboxing and First Look at Sailfish OS

Sunday, June 22, 2014

Cam unboxes the independent Finnish-made Jolla smartphone, and takes you through a tour of its basic user interface and software features. It's a great-looking option for smartphone nerds who just want to own something a little different.

Its specs aren't market leading, but they are pretty decent. It has a 4.5-inch 244ppi IPS QHD display, with a 2100mAh battery, 8MP camera and a dual-core Snapdragon processor. But it's not the specs that make this phone worthwhile, it's the completely gesture-based software. Think BB10, with a bit more color, and mixed with Meego.
