HTC One Max vs. Oppo N1

The phablet space is now so ever filled with Notes and Max's but how about an Oppo? The Oppo N1 has been a hot topic thanks to a clever software called Cyanogenmod but it overshadowed what Oppo has actually achieved. The N1 originally runs Android 4.2.2 with ColorOS. It's a giant 5.9-inch phablet device built like nothing else competing in the market which is full of Samsung's Note and the newer kid on the black, HTC One Max.

These two share almost spec for spec. The same 1.7GHz Quad-Core Processor and 2GB of RAM. They also share the same GPU, an Adreno 320 chip. The difference is in build quality and Android experience. The HTC One Max is basically a HTC One mini pumped up into a Max body. The back cover is removable, the metal bezel is replaced with a cheaper looking and feeling plastic band and gone are the beautiful chamfered edges from the ole HTC One. The Oppo N1 retains build quality by constructing the device out of a solid chunk of aluminum. The build quality is insanely good yet it makes this device unwieldily to carry. It's big and heavy.

The other main difference is software. HTC One Max runs Sense 5.5 while ColorOS is a bit more unknown and unrefined than the five-year old Sense software.
